Development partner FCC
The Fraunhofer-Chalmers Research Centre for Industrial Mathematics, FCC, is a development partner of Efield. It is the Swedish branch of the well-known German Fraunhofer foundation and one of the largest independent research institutes in applied mathematics in Sweden.
Fredrik EdelvikFredrik Edelvik heads the Department of Computational Engineering and Optimisation at FCC. Edelvik obtained his PhD at Uppsala University during the GEMS project and has more than ten years experience of developing software for computational electromagnetics with an emphasis on time-domain finite element methods and hybrid methods. | ![]() |
Stefan JakobssonStefan Jakobsson works at the Department of Computational Engineering and Optimisation at FCC since April 2006. He obtained his PhD in mathematics from Lund University in 2000, and then went on to the Swedish Defence Research Agency. He currently works on development of integral equation methods for electromagnetics, and simulation based optimization. | ![]() |
Anders ÅlundAnders Ålund works at the Department of Computational Engineering and Optimisation at FCC. Ålund, with a background at Saab, has over twenty year’s experience of developing software for high-performance scientific computing with emphasis on electromagnetics and fluid dynamics. He was academic project manager for the GEMS project from 2001 to 2005. | ![]() |
